Newtheek – Lidocaine 2% E-100
It is indicated for producing local anesthesia, administered through infiltration or nerve block techniques, providing rapid, deep, and extensive anesthesia. It allows for delicate procedures such as crown preparation on vital teeth, pulpectomies, and surgical treatment of periodontitis. In the presence of an acidic pH, the proportion of the non-ionized form and the anesthetic’s diffusion capacity are reduced.
Epinephrine causes local vasoconstriction, which limits anesthetic absorption, prolongs its action, and reduces systemic toxicity. At the dosage used in dentistry, it is completely non-toxic, and allergic reactions are rare.
